After that, the RTI law came into force in India in 2005, under which an Indian citizen can obtain any information from the government.

So in 2007, an RTI was filed by an activist named Subhash Chandra Agarwal that the information about the assets of the judges in the Supreme Court should be made public.

When the Supreme Court refused to give the information, the activist went to the CIC and the CIC decided that yes, the Supreme Court will have to give this information.

After that, the Supreme Court filed an application in the Delhi High Court against this decision of the CIC that the CIC should be ordered that the property of the judges should not be made public, but the single judge bench of the High Court rejected the Supreme Court's application.

The Supreme Court did not stop here, it filed an application before the three-member bench of the Delhi High Court and see the amazing thing, the three-member bench of the High Court also rejected the Supreme Court's application and ordered that the Supreme Court will have to make the information of the judges' property public.

After that, the *Supreme Court took the most important step in the history of India* and filed an application in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Delhi High Court and after years of hearing, it was decided in 2019 that the judges who have given information about their property to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court will have to make it public, but no judge can be forced to give information.

Meaning if a judge has shown his honesty and has given the details of his property to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, then only that should be made public. If a dishonest person has not given the details, then you cannot tell him to give the details to the Chief Justice.

Meaning the case was won and lost in the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court has not followed this decision till date as it has not made public the property of any judge till date.

After having such a great judiciary, if bundles of notes are found burnt in someone's house, then there is nothing to be surprised or worried about.
