Indian Airlines Offer Full Refunds, Free Rescheduling After Pahalgam Terror Attack

Following the tragic terror incident in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on April 22, 2025, several major airlines in India are extending significant support and flexibility to passengers with travel plans to and from Srinagar.

Air India, IndiGo, Air India Express, and Akasa Air have announced measures to ease travelers' concerns, offering options for full refunds, complimentary rescheduling, and even additional flights.

Pahalgam Terror Attack

In a horrific act of violence on April 22, Islamic terrorists targeted tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, *killing 28 people* . Reports say the attackers asked passengers their religion before opening fire, sparking nationwide outrage and heightened security measures.

Air India: Special Flights and Full Refunds

National carrier Air India has proactively responded by announcing the operation of two additional flights from Srinagar on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. These special flights will cater to passengers travelling to key metropolitan cities:

Srinagar to Delhi: 11:30 AM

Srinagar to Mumbai: 12:00 Noon

Bookings for these additional flights are now open. Furthermore, Air India has assured that all its other scheduled flights to and from Srinagar will continue to operate as planned.

Understanding the anxiety of travellers, Air India is also providing complimentary rescheduling and full refunds on cancellations for passengers holding confirmed bookings for flights to and from Srinagar until April 30, 2025.

* Full refunds on ticket cancellations.

* Free rescheduling on all confirmed bookings to and from Srinagar until April 30, 2025.

* All regular flights to and from Srinagar will operate as scheduled.
