Sectoral expert level engagements under the BTA to start virtually in the coming weeks
Following the India-U.S. Joint Statement on February 13, 2025, to expand bilateral trade to $500 billion by 2030, officials met in New Delhi from March 26-29.
They reached a broad understanding on advancing a Bilateral Trade Agreement, aiming to finalize its first tranche by fall 2025.
Virtual sectoral discussions will begin soon, leading to in-person negotiations. Talks also covered market access, tariff reduction, and supply chain integration.
