This should be the role model of Sikh youth. It is a great honor to publish a picture of a Sardar with a turban on the cover of the much discussed Time magazine, but on the other hand, let alone the national media, it cannot be discussed anywhere in our Punjabi media.
Most of us do not even know about this Sardar. Because our media is also busy in giving news about Sonu Sito, Neetu Shatra, Kulad Pija and others. This is Sardar Ajay Singh Banga, the head of the World Bank.
Time magazine has placed Sardar Saheb as the head of the list of 100 most important people in the world for 2024 who have played an important role in improving the environment. It's a proud thing for Sikh and Punjabi community. If the picture was of Alia Bhatt or Shahrukh Khan, it would have been in the media headlines by now. But what a surprise, neither in social media nor in other well-wishers. Not even a mention.
