650 soldiers lined up in the shape of a horse's head in honor of the horses killed during that war.
Each of these soldiers pictured lost his horse in World War I, where eight million horses were killed.
While in World War II of the one million horses that left England on the Western front, only sixty thousand returned.
This photo is also considered as conceptual art & is included in the catalogue of modern art.
