Later, the troops of both sides disengaged after the local commanders resolved the issue as per the existing protocols.
There was no damage caused to the Indian defenses during the engagement. All the 200 PLA soldiers who were detained by the Indian Army were returned back to Chinese military authorities in Chinese occupied TIBET.
