The real boom in ecommerce segment in India is yet to take place as women folk has still not taken fully to online shopping. However recent data released by google related to Indian women shows a healthy trend.
Have a look at the data mined by Google seeing the behaviour of the net users:
- Of the 150 million surfers in India today, 60 million were shown to be women.
- As many as 24 million out of 60 million women surf the Internet daily and 5 million have been shown to have transacted or shopped online
Thus we can say thay advertisers’ fears about there not being enough women online are unfounded and we can say that India is on the verge of an ecommerce breakout and all those entrepreneurs can get cheered as women in India holds the maximum buying power as they manage the house hold budget.
We are equally happy to see women force increasing ecommerce activity and
women force participation in stock market has also increased substantially. We salute Indian women who are performing their roles whether as a mother, sister, wife or as a working women dextreously and men folk instead of taking them as a threat in their domain can learn a lot from them.
