The phone companies provide easily phone numbers and does not require too much of documentation. Their reps are selling these sim cards at airport and metro stations. Moreover services exist where one can choose a local number online while being in India and all calls will be thereafter forwarded to any designated number by the service provider. Unlimited Data packs are available in all hotels on 24 hours basis which may be much cheaper than paying Rs 50 per MB.
