Reserve Bank of India's (RBI's) guidelines on KYC (Know Your Customer) norms has made it mandatory for the banks to periodically update identification data of their customers. Moreover updating KYC details regularly also ensures the security of your bank accounts. You can check out KYC Policy here.
Banks have been sending email to their clients and asking them to submit the following self-attested copies of the documents along with the completed Customer Identification Data Update Form at the nearest Bank branch.
- Completed Customer Identification Data Update Form
- One latest passport size colour photograph of the account holder(s).
- A copy of identity proof
- Proof of communication address
