If you ever get an error like below given in the screenshot than do not panic as same can be due to your having wrongly tinkered with the settings. In such a case just visit settings in the menu of Tata Photon device and set it to default and fill the phone number and password again. Password in their case is phone number itself.
You must set the settings as per given screenshot where figure 9230505239 is your phone number or number associated with your Tataphoton device. If it is a Photonmax device than you just choose correct configuration from the drop down menu. Below is a screenshot for Tata Photonmax dongle.
