Indian markets is suffering due to rupee depreciation against dollar and rupee has fallen to the levels of Rs 56 against dollar. This is going to be tough for FIIS as their initial amount invested in market is getting depreciated without doing anything. Thus they are running away from the market as Rupee has become a high beta currency.
However analysis of outflow of Fiis in month of May 2012 in below chart shows that it is a matter of concern as Fiis outflow is not that high as it appears to be and it becomes all the more matter of concern that retail investors and domestic institutes are also losing interest in the market and this is a bad news!
