We are glad that Post office which is a sleeping giant has started waking up from its slumber as it is going to provide rail ticket booking and cancellations from its premises.
This statement comes from the horses mouth i.e. Mr. Sachin Pilot, Communications & IT minister who stated that postal department has entered into an agreements with 8 organizations including financial institutions to sell their products through the post offices in the country.
The selling of rail tickets from Post office is a novel step and will help a large number of rural population. This is what is called as being in sync with the technology.
