President of India Mrs Pratibha Patil is optimistic on the growth of India and has stated in her address to the Parliament and her address is as appended below:
"In 2010-11, our GDP rose at an attractive 8.4% but this year, it has slowed down to almost 7%. Considering the global circumstances, this rate of growth is quite good. The growth is good taking global situation into consideration. My Government though is convinced that they will soon return growth to 8-9%."
