A common man is ready to pay for increased charges but he is looking at clean stations, trains and travel with safety assurance. Dinesh Trivedi has bucked the trend by raising the ticket prices as per following parameters:
Hike in Passenger fares
- 2 paise/km for Suburban and Second class
- 3 paise/km for Mail/Express Second class
- 5 paise/km for Sleeper Class (SL)
- 10 paise/km for A/c Chair Car, A/C 3 Tier and First Class
- 15 Paise/km for A/C 2
- 30 Paise/km for A/c 1
Hope Dinesh Trivedi will deliver as he has taken Mamata Banerjee of Trinamool Congress by bull horns and we wish him all the luck on his objective of making Railways 100% safe and secure travel modes of transport.
