Sutlej Textiles and Industries (Sutlej) is a K K Birla group company incorporated in 2005. The company was created as a part of a restructuring exercise, involving the demerger of the textiles division of Sutlej Industries (SIL) and Damanganga Processors (DPL) into Sutlej. Sutlej is now an integrated textile company engaged in spinning, weaving, home furnishing and garments. Sutlej?s spinning and weaving division manufactures cotton yarn, blended yarn, woven fabrics and other specialty yarns such as modal, lycocell and tencel. Its home furnishing division product offering includes curtain fabrics, seat covers, mattress covers, bed spreads and kitchen linen among others. Its garments division manufactures 1.5 million trousers annually and is also planning to start producing suits and blazers. The company has three manufacturing facilities located in Rajasthan, Jammu and Gujarat. The factories in Kathua in Jammu and Bhawanimandi in Rajasthan manufacture cotton yarn and man made fibre yarn with a capacity of 134096 and 60112 spindles respectively. The Gujarat facility manufactures fabrics (4.8 million metres per annum), processed fabrics (18 million metres per annum), garments (1.5 million trousers per annum) and home furnishing textiles (1.8 million metres per annum).
