Supreme Infrastructure India is into infrastructure development and primarily engaged in civil construction. The company was incorporated on April 8, 1983 as a private limited company. It was converted into a public limited company on Aug. 30 2005. The chairman of the company is Bhawanishankar H. Sharma and Vikram B. Sharma, the managing director. The company is currently engaged in construction of roads, highways, widening of highways and execution of contracts awarded by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSFDC), ..etc The company has four units located at Powai in Mumbai and Bhiwandi, namely a wet mix plant, ready mix concrete (RMC) plant, asphalt mix plant and quarrying & crushing unit. The existing combined capacity is 90 cubic meters of RMC per hour, wet mix macadam upto 80MT/hour, and 85 MT of asphalt per hour. After expansion, a new RMC plant in Powai will add 60 cubic meters RMC capacity per hour. The Company has received a contract for western transport corridor Tumkur-Haveri NH-4 Project Package-3 rehabilitation and upgradation of Chitradurga section jointly with MBL Infrastructures. The new ready mix concrete plant with a capacity of 30 cubic meters per hour shall be installed in Chitradurga for its Tumkar-Haveri NHAI project. The company is also executing a project of earthwork and civil construction for laying of railway tracks as a part of the Kurla-Thane expansion for World Bank aided Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP). As on Aug. 1, 2007, the company had the work-in-hand to the tune of Rs 2998.4 milllion from agencies such as MMRDA, MSRDC, MPT and NHAI.
