Subros (SUBROS) is a leading automobile air conditioning company. It was established in the year 1985 as a joint venture between the Suri Brothers, Denso Corporation, Japan and Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan. The company has the capability to manufacture compressors, condensers, heat exchangers and all the connecting elements that are required to complete the AC Loop. It is largest and only integrated manufacturing unit in India for auto air conditioning (AAC) systems. Three plants are located in Noida, one in Manesar and one in Pune with a manufacturing capacity of 750,000 AC units per annum. It also has a R&D center and tool room in Noida. Recent awards include being recognized as an excellent vendor by its customer Maruti Suzuki and being awarded the Outstanding Overall Excellence Award, trophy for vendor upgradation, trophy for model cost down, and certificate for sincere efforts and superior performance in the field of quality. Currently, it meets almost 70% Maruti Suzuki`s AAC system needs and around 60% of Tata Motors. Concentrating on its existing client base, almost 90% of volumes comes from Maruti and Tata Motors. Mahindra and Mahindra has recently been added to the client list and the company has started supplying to the Logan and Scorpio in 2008. It has entered the commercial vehicles market by supplying cabin ACs for higher tonnage trucks to Ashok Leyland, Eicher and Volvo. Major orders include an order to supply truck air conditioners for 100 vehicles annually to Tatra Trucks based in Bangalore in second quarter of FY07, marking its foray into truck air conditioners.
