Simplex Infrastructures (SIMPLEXIN) is a global company engaged in significant industrial and public infrastructure development programs. It was incorporated on Dec. 19, 1924 and came out with a public issue on Feb. 12, 1993. Earlier known as Simplex Concrete Piles (India), it acquired its present name with effect from Dec. 23, 2005. Several prestigious orders have been bagged in various segments of the construction business including ground engineering, power, marine, industrial, building and housing, highways, railways, bridges and urban infrastructure. Some recent prestigious orders bagged by the company include an order for the construction of a second tower of the twin-tower complex G-Emporium at Dubai in the United Arab Emirates valued at Rs 6,300 million and residential tower for Rs 5,870 million; an order from the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Bangalore for the construction of a cement plant, sewerage system and thermal power plant; construction of six flyovers on Seeb Corniche Road in Muscat in Sultanate of Oman; the prestigious first phase of the Mumbai Metro involving civil construction of a 10.7 Km long viaduct on the Versova - Andheri - Ghatkopar elevated corridor for the Mumbai MRTS project; the Qatalum Thermal Power Plant project in Qatar; civil work for 1050 MW Maithon Thermal Power Project from the joint venture company between Tata Power and DVC; a contract from DP World for ICTT Kochi Phase 1A; and a stadium in West Indies among many other projects.
