It is important to note that NEFT Considers account number of the beneficiary & name is not considered while making the online transaction. Thus the moral of the whole story is that one has to be very careful while making the online transaction in entering the account number.
As per the RBI circular dated Oct 14, 2010, transfer of funds through electronic mode will be executed only on the basis of the account no of the beneficiary provided while initiating the transaction, name will not be considered as a criteria for providing credit. Kindly ensure that you enter the correct beneficiary account number.
The Fund transfer limit per transaction has been increased from Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh with effect from November 29,2011.
Please note that the actual time taken to credit the account depends on the time taken by the payee's bank to process the payment. The money will reach payee's bank within the time stipulated by the Reserve Bank Of India.
