The result season has commenced with Infosys declaring its results and it has not gone well with the market. The results analysis of Infosys suggests that they grew dollar revenues 3.4 per cent sequentially and beat market expectations. However, the firm's fourth quarter and full year guidance is an indicator to the hard times ahead . Infosys has guided to a flat March quarter in dollar terms and expects to grow 16.4 per cent in FY12, a haircut of almost three percentage points from the higher end of its earlier outlook. As a strategy on the stock one can avoid going long in the stock as it has a limited 10% rise expected in the current running year and one can exit this stock in any forthcoming rallies.
As of now out of a total of 3205 stocks traded on the BSE, 1636 stocks advanced, 1423 stocks declined, while 146 stocks remained unchanged.
