Tube Investments of India (TUBEINVEST), the flagship company of USD 2 billion Murugappa Group, has a presence in engineering, metal-formed products and cycles. The fourth division, TI Metal Forming, manufactures car doorframes, window channels, chassis channels and frames for starter motors, and sections for railway wagons and coaches. Plants are located in Chennai, Bawal, and Halol. The company is ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 ISO-TS 16949, API 7F and QS 9000 certified. It has a presence in insurance through its subsidiary Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company. The other subsidiary is Tubular Precision Products (Suzhou) Company, China. Domestic clients include Maruti Udyog, Hyundai Motor, Hero Honda, Ashok Leyland, and many more.
