Tourism Finance Corporation India (TFCI) was incorporated in 1989, pursuant to the recommendations of the National Committee on Tourism (Yunus Committee), set up under the aegis of Union Planning Commission. TCFI is a specialized all-India financial institution which caters to the requirements of financial assistance to the tourism industry. TFCI is notified as a public financial institution under section 4A of the Companies Act, 1956. TFCI provides financial assistance to enterprises for the setting up and development of tourism related activities, facilities and services. TFCI also co-ordinates and formulates guidelines and policies related to financing of projects such as hotels, restaurants, holiday resorts, amusement parks and tour operating agencies among others. The company`s services offerings include rupee loans, underwriting of public issues of share/debentures and direct subscription of such securities, guarantee for deferred payments and credits raised in India and abroad, equipment finance, equipment leasing, assistance under suppliers of credit and advisory services.
