It appears that tamper free number plates appears to be a distant dream. However its implementation will ensure that we can have India a terrorist free nation as terrorism affects business to a great extent.
Now Supreme court has passed the order on a PIL filed by Chairman of All-India Anti-Terrorist Front M S Bitta seeking its direction to introduce tamper-proof number plates and licences for vehicles, contending that the present system is prone to misuse by anti-social elements.
In a clear warning to the state governments, a bench headed by Chief Justice S H Kapadia said contempt proceedings will be initiated against the state authorities without issuing any notice in case of non-compliance of the scheme within the time limit fixed by it.
Hope the efforts of Chairman of All-India Anti-Terrorist Front M S Bitta bears fruit as we want to see India migrating to being a more secure state as Bhaskar Pramanik, Chairman, Microsoft India has stated that India is no longer the preferred destination for MNCs (technology MNCs). People are very cautious about investments. There are a host of challenges. The government has to talk about and address these. Just remember that terrorist threat is one reason which must be always on the top of the mind of any investor as what is the use of money if one gets abducted or killed in a terrorist violence. let us together join our hands and make India a force to reckon with and live with our head held high without any fear of terrorist attacks.
