Precision Wires India Ltd was promoted in 1989 by (erstwhile) Atlas Wires Ltd for the manufacture of enamelled copper winding wires. (Erstwhile) Atlas Wires`s first manufacturing facility was established in 1981at Gujarat and its second unit was set up at Silvassa in 1997 Atlas Wires amalgamated into Precision Wires India with effect from May 4,2001. The swap ratio was 10 shares of Precision Wires for every 185 shares of Atlas Wires, as suggested by Arthur Anderson. Precision Wires India is the largest manufacturer of it s kind in India. The promoter director of (erstwhile) Atlas Wires have been in charge of the management and control of Precision Wires India from the very beginning. The company caters predominantly to original equipment manufacturer market (OEM). Atlas Wires, besides OEM, also caters to repair and rewinding segment of the market. It also undertook modernisation and expansion during 1999-00. Precision Wires India manufactures synthetic enamelled copper copper winding wires using World Standard Technology with the help of qualified foreign-trained personals. The company has increased its capacity to 12,000 MT per annum. Its production range is between 8swg and 44swg (including equivalents in metric AWG sizes). Precision Wires India specialises in the production of hermetic grade wires for airconditioning and refrigeration industry as well as wires used in the electronics and telecommunication industry. It produces wires as per various technical specification including IEC, ISS, BSS, DIN, NEMA & JIS and offers Returnable Tapered Plastics Spools in Pail Packings, if required. Precision Wires India`s customers include small and large manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment as well as stockists all over the country.
