Polyplex Corporation (POLYPLEX) is a producer of thin polyester film. It was incorporated on Oct. 18, 1984. The company`s products are available under the Sarafil brand in the range of 9 to 50 microns including plain, corona and chemically-treated transparent films; High adhesion and Barrier films, Ultra clear films, Hazy films, Matte films, Co-extruded films, and metallized films. These find applications in flexible packaging, metallizing, stamping foil, thermal lamination, electrical and cable insulation, labels and holograms, and other industrial products. The company has two biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BOPET) polyester film lines with an aggregate capacity of 20,000 TPA with facility for manufacture polyester chips to meet the captive raw material requirement with the same capacity. A subsidiary in Thailand runs the polyester film plants with a capacity of 39,000 MTA of PET film and polyester chips with a capacity of 7,000 TPA for captive use and 45,500 TPA for commercial purposes. Polyplex Europa Polyester Film San. Ve Tic. A.S., a subsidiary in Turkey, produces 24,000 TPA of PET film and 45,500 TPA of polyester chips. Polyplex (Americas) Inc., a subsidiary in USA, is a distributor for the company in the North American region. Polyplex Corporation has gained wide acceptance through its products in global markets like USA, Europe, South-East Asia, South America, North America and Australia, where the company has been consistently exporting about 75% of its production.
