Karnataka Bank was incorporated in 1924 at Mangalore as a private bank in Karnataka. The bank subsequently grew with the merger of Sringeri Sharada Bank Ltd., Chitladurg Bank Ltd. and Bank of Karnataka. The bank at present has a network of around 400 branches and more than 100 ATMs across 18 states and two union territories. In retail sector, the bank has a wide loan product portfolio spanning all customers segments. The basket of financial products has various deposit-linked services, resident foreign currency (domestic) account, NRI services, senior citizens deposit scheme etc. Under its banking division, the bank assists industries through working capital finance like fund based and non-fund based finances. The bank extends infrastructure finance to all core activities. Under business finance the bank offers a bouquet of services from loans to retail trade, finance to SMEs, project finance, export and agricultural finance. The bank also markets insurance products of MetLife India Insurance and Bajaj Allianz General Insurance. The bank also offers the services of Western Union Financial Services International as a mode for international money transfer.
