Amarjothi Spinning Mills (AMARJOSP), part of the Amarjothi group, was incorporated on Dec. 16, 1987 and was converted into a public limited company on Feb. 27, 1992. The company produces natural and synthetic yarns at its manufacturing facility in Pudusuripalayam, Tamil Nadu. The company has installed 58,000 spindles with a production capacity of 8 million Kg per annum.
The company has set up windmills with a capacity to produce 5.45 MW of power for captive use and the balance is taken up by the Tamil Nadu State Electricity Board.
With a major share of sales volume coming from Tirupur, the company exports products to Europe, Sri Lanka, Israel, Egypt, Mauritius, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Korea, China, Japan, Philippines, South Africa and USA. The registered office of the company is located at Amarjothi House, 157, Kumaran Road, Tirupur-641601, Tamil Nadu. Financials The company reported rise of 102.53% in standalone net profit on y-o-y basis to Rs 25.68 million, while total income rose 25.74% y-o-y basis to Rs 290.46 million for the quarter ended December 2010.
