Rane Engine Valves (REVL), part of the Rane group, is engaged in the manufacture of valves and valve train components for various engine applications. It was established in 1959.
The company manufactures engine valves, valve guides and tappets. It caters to the auto industry through it four manufacturing plants located in Hyderabad and Chennai. It has a total installed capacity of 24 million engine valves per annum. The company has a technical collaboration with TRW, USA for procuring engine valve technology. It has entered into a technology licence and technical assistance agreement with Bosch Automotive Systems Corporation, Japan for manufacture and sale of actuators for clutches in India.
Rane Engine Valves is accredited with TS 16949:2002&ISO 14001 certification. The company is a market leader in India and caters to both the OEMs and the replacement market. It has won the Deming prize for 2005. Key customers in the domestic OEM space include Hero Honda, TVS Motors, Tata Motors, M&M, among others. International clients include Volkswagen, Deutz, and Yamaha, among others. The company exports to Europe, North America and the Far Eastern markets.
