One of the main promoters for Satna project, F L Smith & Company, Denmark, is a world leader in two key aspects of the cement industry, development of technology and manufacture of machinery. The Satna plant of the company is equipped with latest technology and has special features like a six-stage low-pressure drop pre-heater, bucket elevators for silo and kiln feeding, roller presses for cement grinding and electronic packers for cement. The company caters to the markets of MP, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. With this venture, H&R Johnson (India) has acquired a 50 per cent stake in "Small Tiles Private Ltd". These tiles would primarily be focused in the Northern, Central, Eastern regions of India and the overseas market.
