Prime Focus (PFOCUS) is an entertainment services company in India. On account of the merger of the proprietary concerns Video Works and Video Workshop, it was incorporated as a private limited company on Jun. 24, 1997 and converted into a public limited company on Apr. 24, 2000. One of the largest integrated post production and visual effects services house for films and television content, the company`s service offering includes cameral rental, post production, digital intermediate, visual effects and animation for feature films, commercials and television. It has four studios in Mumbai, one each in Hyderabad and Chennai, and four studios in Soho, London. Prime Focus Plc, a subsidiary, was recently ranked as the number four post production facility in the UK. Recently in FY07, it has been awarded gold awards for cinematography and confectionary/snacks advertising, and silver award - apparel advertising at the London International Awards 2007. Having worked with leading ad agencies like HTA, O&M, FCB Ulka and Triton J and top ad film production houses like Corcoise Films, MAD Films, Black Magic Motion Pictures, Ramesh Deo Productions and Equinox Films, the company has over 400 advertisements to its credit till date and meets almost 60% of the industry`s post production requirements with movies like Fanaa, Kabul Express and Guru. It is currently working with a number of TV channels like Star TV, Sony, and Zee and recording companies like Tips, T-Series, and Sony Music offering services like on-air packaging, equipment rental, show edit and mastering.
