Numeric Power Systems (NUMERICP) provides power continuity and clean power through its total power management solutions. Established in 1984, it went public in 1996. The ISO 9001:2000 certified company manufactures uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems, servo stabilizers, isolation transformers, inverters and other home power products, DC power, solar power, custom-built power conditioners, power quality management products, active harmonic conditioners, AC-DC converters. It undertakes projects and offers end-to-end solutions in SCADA/EMS packages, power transmission support systems, large network of industrial process, and distribution management. Nine world class manufacturing units have been set up for UPS, CNC fabrication, and stabilizer manufacturing in Chennai, Parvanoo, Pondicherry, and Colombo in Sri Lanka.
In FY08, a new UPS plant with integrated CNC sheet metal fabrication and magnetic was set up in Salem to support distribution and channel sales and would follow the Providing Urban Resources in Rural Areas scheme. For the 15th consecutive year, the company has emerged in Soft Disk (SD) awards as the No.1 power electronic company and UPS manufacturer. It has won market and product leadership awards. An arrangement between Panasonic and the company offers the complete range of Panasonic high performance SLA batteries to the Indian Market directly and through their channel partners. Catering to the banking, insurance, finance; research and educational, information technology, corporate and government sectors it has clients such as SBI, Citibank, ICICI, HDFC, IIT, IIM, ISRO, Wipro, Infosys, Honeywell, Reliance, Murugappa group, IOCL, BSNL and several others. Major export destinations include Canada, UK, China, South America, Singapore, Vietnam, Mauritius, Dubai and the other African countries. Numeric Power Systems Ltd has informed BSE that further to the Company entering into a business transfer agreement dated February 09, 2012 with Novateur Electrical and Digital Systems Private Limited (Novateur) (Formerly known as Indo Asian Electric Private Limited), and approval of the shareholders of the Company, the Company has completed the transfer formalities in respect of sale of UPS Business Division to Novateur on May 2012.
The Company has filed Forms with the Registrar of Companies, Chennai for changing the Name of the Company as "SWELECT ENERGY SYSTEMS LIMITED” and obtained fresh certificate of Incorporation on May 30, 2012.
