Kiri Dyes and Chemicals is a manufacturer and supplier of high quality dyes and intermediates for the dyestuff industry. It was incorporated as a private limited company on May 14, 1998 and converted into a public limited company on May 03, 2006. The ISO 9001:2000 certified company manufactures reactive dyes like synthetic organic dyes (S.O. dyes) and dye intermediates such as vinyl sulphone and h-acid reactive dyes. The dyes are of basic colors like black, blue, red, orange, yellow and numerous variants of these basic colors as identified by the color index number internationally. The product range comprises of more than 120 dyestuffs used by the textiles, leather, paints and printing-ink industries with a total production capacity of 10,800 MTPA. Dye intermediates form the major raw materials for synthetic organic dyes. The installed capacity of h-acid and vinyl sulphone is 3,600 MTPA each. The company has tapped the capital markets with an initial public offering to fund the capital expenditure for setting up a plant to manufacture sulphuric acid, oleum and chloro sulphonic acid with a combined capacity of 500 MT per day or 180,000 MTPA adjacent to its existing unit at Padra in the Vadodara district of Gujarat and to fund the capital expenditure for the dyes and intermediates unit located at GIDC, Vatva, Ahmedabad. It has already commenced the first phase of the backward integration expansion plan at Padra and commenced manufacturing of vinyl sulphone in March 2006. The internationally recognized and popular products of the company are Kiri Direct (Kirect); Turquoise blues; Kiractive hot, cold, high exhaustive and bifunctional reactive dyes; Kiri acid blacks; and Kiri pigments and intermediates for reactive dyes. It has a well established customer base in India and countries like Korea, Turkey, Taiwan, Bangladesh, USA, and Canada among other countries.
