Banswara Syntex (BANSWRAS), incorporated on May 5, 1976, is a vertically integrated textile mill having manufacturing facilities from yarn and fabrics to readymade garments. The ISO 9001:2000 certified company produces cotton combed yarn and polyester blended yarn in blends of viscose staple fiber, polyester staple fiber, acrylic staple fiber, lycra, cotton, linen and wool; cotton, polyester, viscose, worsted spun polyester and wool, and lycra blended fabrics for men and women; and readymade garments. There are three manufacturing units for spinning, weaving and fabric finishing at Banswara in Rajasthan and a garmenting unit in the Union territory of Daman with integrated production capacities of 91,952 ring spindles and 576 air jet spindles, 143 looms, 5 stenters and 75,000 pieces readymade garments per month. An 18 MW thermal power plant set up for captive consumption commenced commercial production in September 2007. Banswara Fabrics, an associate firm of the company, does job spinning work for the company and is engaged in fabric manufacturing and trading activity. Carreman Fabrics India, a 50:50 joint venture with Carreman Michel Thierry (France), has a state-of-the-art weaving plant at Banswara producing quality fabrics for export to developed countries. Recent awards include the best export performance in man-made, fiber-blended fabrics for 2004-2005 from The Synthetic & Rayon Textile Export Promotion Council. The company is a government recognized Two Star Export House and exports fabrics under the brand name Bantex and readymade trousers under the brand name Integration to more than 50 countries around the globe. In the domestic markets, it caters to companies like Raymonds, Siyaram, Donear, and Harry Collection among others. Fabrics are supplied to Marks & Spencer, Next, Perry Ellis, Liz Claiborn and Dockers. The registered office is located at Industrial Area, Dohad Road, Banswara-327001, Rajasthan.
