Apollo Hospitals Enterprise (APOLLOHOSP) is the leading private sector healthcare provider in Asia and owns and manages a network of specialty hospitals and clinics, a chain of pharmacy retail outlets across the country, and provides consultancy services for commissioning and managing the specialty hospitals. Subsidiaries include Unique Home Health Care, AB Medical Centers and Apollo Hospitals International. Lanka Hospitals is an associated company with a 350-bed capacity in Sri Lanka. In 2006, the company acquired Samudra Healthcare Enterprise and 51% of Imperial Cancer Hospital and Research Center. It entered into a JV with British American Investment (Mauritius) for setting up a multi-specialty hospital in Mauritius and launched India`s first exclusive healthcare center for women in Chennai. The company reported rise of 61.27% in standalone net profit on y-o-y basis to Rs 470.90 million, while total income increased 28.42% y-o-y basis to Rs 6.27 billion for the quarter ended March 2011.
Results Update
Apollo Hospitals Enterprise has posted a net profit of Rs. 557.60 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 as compared to Rs. 495.50 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2010. Total Income has increased from Rs. 5932.40 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2010 to Rs. 7067.00 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
