Shree Precoated Steels (SHRPREC) was promoted as RVS Steels and Allied Industries in 1985. C S Ajmera and Associates took over the company in 1986 and changed the name to Shree Precoated Steels Limited. SHRPREC belongs to Ajmera groups of companies. The company is engaged in the manufacture of pre-coated steel strips/aluminium strips, which are cold-rolled and galvanised. The product-mix includes alkyd/polyester coated and PVC laminated cold-rolled and galvanised coils. The group also has strong presence in the fields of textiles, printing, information technology and entertainment. The company`s plants are located in Sanaswadi (Pune, Maharashtra). SHRPREC is also engaged in the manufacture of color coated galvanised and aluminium sheets and coils. It has a technical collaboration with Cockerill Mechanical Industries, Belgium, who are amongst the leading world players in color coating technology. Shree Precoated Steels products are marketed under the brand name Metacolor, Metacor and Metagalva. The company has installed coating stations, laminating and embossing stations and printing stations from GFG of U.S.A., Ovens from Stein Heurtey of France and Stretch Tension Leveller from Redex of France. Financials The company disclosed fall of 33.42% in consolidated net profit on y-o-y basis to Rs 25.70 million, while total income declined 43.26% y-o-y basis to Rs 42.10 million for the quarter ended December 2010.
