Inorganic fluorine-based chemicals manufactured by the company have vital applications in industries as varied as aluminum smelting, petroleum refining, steel re-rolling, glass, refrigerant gases, ceramics, sugar, heavy water, fertilizers and others. Manufacturing facilities are located in the chemical complex of SIPCOT at Cuddalore near Pondicherry in Tamil Nadu with installed capacities of 15,600 MTPA aluminum fluoride, 15,600 MTPA anhydrous hydrofluoric acid, 81,600 MTPA sulphuric acid and 3,400 MTPA specialty fluorides. The company has technology tie-ups with Davy Process of Switzerland for aluminum fluoride know-how and equipment, CHENCO, Germany for hydrofluoric acid know-how and equipment and Grasim Industries for sulphuric acid and oleum design and erection.
