Parenteral Drugs (India) (PARENTLD) is a pharmaceutical company engaged in manufacture of intravenous (IV) fluids and formulations. Incorporated as a private limited company on Dec. 13, 1983, and became a public limited company on Mar. 25, 1994. The ISO 9001:2000 and WHO GMP certified company manufactures antibiotics, anti-ulcerant, anti- bacterial, anti-inflammatory/analgesics, anti-cold, multi-vitamins and cardiac products; liquid preparations in cough syrup, anti-cold and other pediatric products; and IV fluids. The manufacturing units are located at Indore in Madhya Pradesh and at the Baddi Industrial Estate in Himachal Pradesh with installed capacities of 355 million ampoules, 108 million injections, 150 million IV bottles and 1,425 million tablets and capsules. The in-house R&D laboratory tests and develops new products, developed a kit for intraperitonial dialysis meant for patients of chronic renal failure, which are known as CARD kits, and develops new IV bottles. Parenteral Biotech, Aaditya Drugs, Anjaney Pharmaceuticals, Kapeesh Drugs, Sanjiwani Medications and Abhay Drugs are subsidiaries of the company. It markets its products through its marketing team of over 800 personnel. It is a Mumbai-based company and has a base in Kolkata to cover the eastern market. At present, 10% - 15% of business comes from exports. The company is looking at some international level recognition for its products.
