Nahar Spinning Mills (NSML) of the Oswal Woollen Mills Group started operations in 16 december, 1983 with a woollen/worsted spinning and hosiery unit at Ludhiana. The company forayed into cotton/blended spinning and knitwear with a 50,400-spindle unit at Mandideep in Madhya Pradesh. NSML has been increasing its thrust on exports, and was conferred with the status of Golden Trading House in recognition of its contribution to exports. The company manufactures woollen yarn, 100% cotton yarn, 100% acrylic yarn, blended yarn & knit wears at its two units. The company has plants located at Ludhiana and Patiala in Punjab and Raisen in Madhya Pradesh. With major markets being Mauritius, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Canada, Chile, and Peru, Germany, UK, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Sweden, Egypt, Lebanon, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Australia and New Zealand, the company definitely has a strong foothold in export market. CRISIL has reaffirmed the AA+ rating assigned to the Rs 263.80 million Secd. Premium Convertible Bonds programme and the P1+ rating assigned to the Commercial Paper Programme of the company.
