Jay Shree Tea & Industries (JAYSHREETEA), part of the B.K. Birla group of industries, is a well diversified conglomerate with businesses in tea, chemicals, fertilizers and real estate. The company was incorporated on Oct. 27, 1945. The company has 19 tea estates including two estates with its subsidiary spread over in Darjeeling, Dooars, Terai , Assam and South India. The company is also engaged in warehousing activities in Calcutta and Kochi. Its real estate division has developed commercial complexes and residential apartments in Calcutta and Bangalore. It is in the process of developing residential complexes in the heart of Calcutta through its subsidiary Shiva`s Group. The company has a niche market in India and in countries like Germany, Japan, U.K, Middle East and the CIS.
