Google is Giving Free Domain to Indian Businesses

Google feels that Indian small businesses are not properly listed on internet and to get you online, it is providing free domains through Indiagetonline(dot)in website, click the “get Started” link and complete the domain registration process. This experiment is done by Google in other countries and have found it very successful. Google wants to have small businesses to be visible as they  do not have a website or online presence. This makes them invisible to many potential customers.Google and Hostgator have teamed up to offer Indian businesses free hosting and domains to get as many small and medium businesses. They have even provided a free toll free number as 1800-266-3000

Drawbacks

It is available for free for first one year and thereafter you have to buy Hostgator plans. Moreover remember that one will be able to only make 8-10 pages site and if one wants to make a large website than one should not get hooked to this offer. Another drawback is that one will be restricted to (dot)in domains only. Only 1 domain registration is possible for every unique PAN card.
