Garware-Wall Ropes (GWRL), incorporated in 1976, has established itself as a frontrunner in the synthetic cordage and netting industry. It is part of the RBG group of companies that has interests in synthetic ropes, nets, twines, elastic rubber tapes, rubber tapes, software, financial services and infrastructure. Bestretch Elastomers International and Garware Elastomerics are associate companies. The ISO 9001:2000 certified company offers fishing nets in nylon and high density polyethelene and brands like Sapphire and Oliviene; net assemblies; 3-strand and 8-strand ropes; the Garlon brand of high tenacity polypropylene multi filament (PPMF) yarn and two and multiple plied twines made of Garlon PPMF yarn; the Garfil brand of rope articles including cargo nets, gangway nets, helipad nets, safety nets, boulder nets, gabions, rope ladders and slings; nettings for tennis, basketball, volleyball, badminton and other sports; the Maxiflex and Maxigold brand of mooring ropes; and single point mooring hawsers.
Manufacturing facilities are all located in Maharashtra, two in Pune and one at Wai with installed capacities of 20,000 TPA ropes, 3,000 TPA industrial stitching and yarn, 6,000 TPA nettings and 1,000 TPA customized net fabrication. A well-equipped R&D laboratory recognized by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, focuses on the development of products in ropes and nettings for new applications. The company is a government recognized export house and products are exported to countries in the USA, Europe, Africa and South East Asia. Garware Environmental Services is a wholly owned subsidiary.
