As a Yahoo search advertisement partner we have received following email from Yahoo which states that transition to Microsoft Advertising adCenter will be complete by Sep 2011 and thus as a YSM user one needs to initiate action to undertake the transition.
Dear Advertiser,
In just a few weeks, you'll transition to using Microsoft Advertising adCenter to manage search marketing campaigns on both Yahoo! Search and Microsoft sites. As a reminder, you can now log into your Yahoo! Search Marketing account to initiate your transition to the Microsoft Advertising adCenter platform if you haven't start this process. Learn more

During your transition process, please ensure to have the correct payment information in place and make sure all campaigns are set as "active" to have the ads running correctly after the transition.
Furthermore, to help ensure you're ready with the transition, it's time to take a fresh look at your keyword and ad strategies. Here are a few tips to help you prepare:
Bid on keyword variations to maintain coverage and potentially improve your ROI
• adCenter allows you to bid separately for singular/plural variations and common misspellings of keywords, giving you more granular control over your ROI.
• With typically less advertiser competition for keyword variations, you may find greater value in bidding on these terms.
Set keyword match types for even greater control
• There are three match types in adCenter: exact, phrase, and broad match. When you transition your Yahoo! campaigns to adCenter, advanced match keywords will be set to broad match, and standard match keywords will be set to exact match.
• You can specify unique bids for each match type, to align bids to match type performance. For example, you can bid more for exact match keywords for your core products and services, to help you reach highly qualified potential customers.
Remember, you still need to manage your Yahoo! Search Marketing account until ad serving fully transitions to adCenter as early as late September. You'll receive an email notification once this final stage of the transition is complete; then you'll be able to use your adCenter account exclusively to reach customers on Yahoo! Search, Microsoft and our partner sites.
Please note: To help ensure that important transition-related communications reach you, please take a moment to send your current contact information (email, phone number and mailing address) to in-cs-ysm@yahoo-inccom along with your Yahoo! Search Marketing account ID. Thanks for your cooperation.
We appreciate your business, and look forward to bringing you the benefits of the Yahoo! and Microsoft Search Alliance.
Sincerely,
Your partners at Yahoo!
Yahoo must be under a lot of pressure as it has also fired its CEO and that too on a phone which is very uncustomary for a person holding such a high position. One can imagine the kind of disrespect being shown to the individual and kind of negative publicity individual would have had got. Now Google has a chance to latch on this opportunity by hiring the dehired CEO of Yahoo.
Fresh Email has been received from Yahoo and content of the email is as listed below:
Next week, we begin the final phase of transitioning your account to the Microsoft Advertising adCenter platform. Ad serving will shift from Yahoo! Search Marketing to adCenter, which means your adCenter account will start serving ads on Yahoo! and Microsoft networks.
To help you prepare for this phase, please keep in mind the following:
Important points to remember
• The process of moving Yahoo! search ad serving will begin as early as the 19th of September and is expected to conclude during the last week of the month.
• As ad serving moves to adCenter, and your clicks and impressions in that account begin to increase, you'll see a corresponding decrease in clicks and impressions in your Yahoo! Search Marketing account.
• After the ad serving transition is complete, we will refund the balance in your Yahoo! Search Marketing account to you through either the credit card you have on file with us or via a demand draft from Yahoo!. Additional information regarding the timing and process for refunding your balance will be shared in our coming emails.
What you should do next
• Make sure you have an adCenter account in place, complete with campaigns and budget, no later than the 18th of September; otherwise your ads will no longer be displayed on the Yahoo! Search network.
Important Note: If you have not yet created an adCenter account or begun the account transition process, please log into your Yahoo! Search Marketing account to initiate your transition to the Microsoft Advertising adCenter platform. Learn more
