Maharashtra is the state which contributes a major chunk of income tax for Indian govt and aptly Mumbai is called as the economic capital of India as it itself contributes close to 25% income tax of India. Now we see a lot of infrastructural developments taking in Mahrashtra and Mumbai in particular and all those entrepreneurs in infrastructure sector can not ignore Maharashtra.
The Maharashtra state government is considering a proposal for creation of a special fund to support crucial infrastructure projects in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The urban development department has proposed the setting up of the fund, which will be used to provide a "constant flow of money" for ongoing and proposed infrastructure projects. The department has proposed that the state's share of the premium collected from developers in lieu of the grant of additional FSI, or for various concessions in development permission, be pooled together to form a part of the fund. Maharashtra govt it appears is sincere in effort as they are planning to raise 1 trillion over the next 10 years by offering to redevelop properties across the state to invest in infrastructure. So far, redevelopment work has been confined to certain parts of Mumbai, but now the plan is to redevelop prime properties in other cities, including Pune, Nagpur, Nashik and Aurangabad.
In a significant move aimed at decongesting the traffic movement on Sion-Panvel and Thane-Belapur highways, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) has decided to build two flyovers in Kharghar, Taloja and Kalamboli. Both the flyovers are expected to be complete in another three years.
Faster planning and approval for a 25-km elevated corridor between Bandra and Dahisar along the service road of the Western Express Highway is being considered to ease snarls on WEH and S V Road. The state also plans several flyovers along Linking Road. The government wants to fast track the proposed water transport facility from Nariman Point to Borivli, which it hopes will disperse traffic faster.
Thus get your act together and participate in the growth of Maharahstra and Mumbai in particular as lot of infrastructure needs to be developed in Bombay or Mumbai and be the first to participate in the growth story of Maharashtra.
