Finolex Industries (FINOLEXIND), part of Finolex Group, was incorporated in 1981 and is a manufacturer of rigid PVC pipes and fittings in India. The company offers a wide range of PVC pipes and fittings for diverse applications in agriculture, housing, telecom, industry etc. It also manufactures specialty pipes and fittings, namely soil, waste and rain water pipes and fittings for construction industry. Manufacturing plants of the company are located in Ratnagiri and Chinchwad, near Pune. Finolex Wire Products, a wholly-owned subsidiary company provides CC rods to the company. Finolex Industries has also set up a capacity in Goa to manufacture 32,000 Km of optic fiber cables. The company has expanded its PVC pipes capacity from 67,000 MT in the previous year to 74,000 MT during 2006-2007. It has acquired 20 acres of land in Urse, Pune for setting up of a new plant for manufacturing PVC pipes. After commissioning of the new plant in Urse, the total installed capacity for manufacturing PVC pipes would be 100,000 MT per annum.
