Rajesh Exports (RAJESHX) was established in 1990 as a partnership firm and was registered as a public company on Feb. 1, 1995. It is engaged in manufacturing and selling of gold and diamond jewelry.
RAJESHX manufactures jewelry categorizing designs into Asian jewelry for the Asian market, western jewelry catering to Europe and USA, and diamond jewelry in eight design ranges.
It has its manufacturing facility in Whitefield, Bangalore capable of manufacturing hand-made jewelry, casting jewelry, machine chains, studded jewelry, stamped jewelry, tube jewelry and electro-formed jewelry. RAJESHX has a refining, alloying and manufacturing capacity of 250 TPA. In 2006, Rajesh Exports bagged export orders from Excel Goldsmiths, Sharjah valued at Rs 1,780 million for export of designer jewelry and from Lazorde Jewellery, Kuwait valued at Rs 1,950 million. In 2007, it bagged orders from Gold Star Jewelry, Singapore for gold jewelry valued at Rs 3,520; from Excel Goldsmiths, Sharjah for gold jewelry valued at Rs 2.86 billion; from Lazorde Jewellery, Kuwait for gold jewelry valued at Rs 2,720 million; and from Gold Star Jewellery, Singapore for gold jewelry valued at Rs 7.43 billion.
Rajesh Exports has acquired the status of nominated agency to import gold for domestic consumption. Business Today rated RAJESHX at India`s No. 1 investor-friendly company among listed companies. The company is all set to launch 100 premium retail jewelry chain stores under the brand name Shubh Jewellers across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh in December 2007. RAJESHX exports around 70% of its revenue. It is among the largest exporters of gold jewelry in India with markets in over five countries worldwide.
