Incorporated on Mar. 31, 2006, the company took over the investment business of Nahar Spinning Mills as per the scheme of demerger and arrangement duly approved by the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh effective from Apr. 1, 2006. It is a part of the Nahar group of companies, an Industrial conglomerate with portfolio ranging from spinning, knitting, fabrics, hosiery garments and sugar and has promoted companies like Nahar Industrial Enterprises, Oswal Woollen Mills, Nahar Spinning Mills, and Nahar Investments & Holdings. The product portfolio consists of an optimum blend of financial securities such as bonds, equity shares, inter corporate loans, deposits and different schemes of mutual funds. It had applied to the Reserve Bank of India for registration as a non-banking finance company (NBFC) in March 2007. The company has approved its investment activities to be handled by Nahar Spinning Mills until it operates as a NBFC.
