Kakatiya Cement Sugar & Industries (KAKCEMEN) earlier known as Kakatiya Cements, was incorporated in the year 1979 for the manufacture of ordinary portland cement. The Company was promoted by Shri P. Venkateswarlu, a reputed civil contractor with equity support from APIDC. The company`s principal business involves the production of cement, sugar and power. The cement plant of the company is located in Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh. To produce cement, the company procures coal from Singareni Coal Mines and machines from Fuller, USA. The company mines premieum grade limestone (raw material for cement) in SrinivasaNagar, Nalagonda district. The sugar industry and power plant are located in Peruvancha village, Kalluru Mandal, Khammam district, Andhra Pradesh. The cement division operates two types of grade cements. One is 53 grade cement and the other is 43 grade cement. The construction units specialize in highway paving, bridges, airports and parking lots, as well as municipal and infrastructure work. Its high grade of ordinary portland cement (OPC43) is most commonly used in the construction industry, dams, bridges, multi-storeyed building pre-cast concrete works, flyovers, culverts, road works, and small residences. The installed capacities of the company are 297,000 TPA of cement, 3,200 TCD of sugar, and 16.7 MW of power.
