It rates financial instruments including bonds and debentures, fixed deposit schemes, commercial papers, certificates of deposit and preference shares, structured financial obligations, line or credit rating, issuer rating, project finance rating, credit risk rating, claims paying ability rating, and corporate governance rating. ICRA has three subsidiaries, namely, ICRA Management Consulting Services (IMaCS), ICRA Techno Analytics (ICTEAS) and ICRA Techno Analytics (ICRA Online). IMaCS provides management consulting services; ICTEAS provides business solutions and computer-aided engineering services; and ICRA Online provides mutual fund based information services, outsourcing services, and technology solutions.
It recently introduced ICRA Mpower, a web-based platform for mutual fund distributors and financial advisors. The company has signed MoUs with Indian Overseas Bank, State Bank of India and Indian Bank for assigning ratings to the bank`s loans and its other exposures; with Vijaya Bank, Corporation Bank, UCO Bank and Canara Bank for assigning ratings to small scale industries (SSIs) and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). It has renewed its technical cooperation agreement (TCA) with the credit rating agency of Bangladesh, which envisages assistance to the agency in designing rating methodologies, besides advisory and information services products.
