Dear Customer,
IndusInd Bank never sends email with embedded links leading to “websites” and/or “reply options” asking you to update or verify confidential, personal and security details.
If you receive an e-mail requesting for any confidential information such as password, customer ID, Card number or PIN, CVV, DOB, and so on OR requesting you to access a link over an email you should not respond.
Please report such instances immediately to reachus@indusind.com and delete the mail. Please do not divulge any account related information/Password/personal details over emails.
Be careful when responding to emails:
You may get messages that seem like they are coming from IndusInd Bank seeking account related/Password/Confidential information. This activity is commonly known as phishing. Through such messages, you may be directed to websites/attachments appearing to be genuine, and asked to key-in your confidential information. Beware of such messages.
Dont's:
Never respond to requests for personal information via E-mail. If in doubt, call the institution that claims to have sent you the E-mail.
Do not click on any link which has come through e-mail from an unexpected source. It may contain malicious code or could be an attempt to 'Phish'.
Do not provide any information on a page which might have come up as a pop-up window.
Never provide your password over the phone or in response to an unsolicited request over e-mail.
Always remember that information like password, PIN, TIN, etc are strictly confidential and are not known even to employees/service personnel of the Bank. You should therefore, never divulge such information even if asked for.
Do's
Always logon to a site by typing the proper URL in the address bar. Avoid clicking a link provided in a mail.
Input your user id and password only at the authenticated login page.
Before providing your user id and password please ensure that the URL of the login page starts with the text 'https://' and is not 'http:// '.The 's' stands for 'secured' and indicates that the Web page uses encryption.
Please also look for the lock sign ( ) at the right bottom of the browser and the SSL certificate from valid certificate authority.
Provide your personal details over phone/Internet only if you have initiated a call or session and the counterparty has been duly authenticated by you.
Please remember that the bank would never ask you to verify your account information through an e-mail
Invariably review your Credit Card and Bank Statements immediately on receipt.
If you are concerned that you may have disclosed your security details, call IndusInd Bank customer contact centre immediately.

Similar type of email is also received from ICICIbank and this type of investor initiatives are required to make online transactions easier for the Indian fraternity which is new to this segment as only 4% population are only using online as a medium for transaction.
Last but not least last line of the mail holds significance which states that "Save the Environment. Save Paper. Avoid printing of this mail" and we can all opt in for online email statements or online logging to view the account.
