(c) Can the organization you work for afford to give you a raise?
(d) How unique are your skills?
(e) How unique is the way you do your job?
(f) Do the person(s) responsible for giving raises know who you are?
If you feel positive about the same than ask for raise with confidence, in person and state your request correctly. As an employer, here are two of the ways that the employee will appreciate a request for a raise and these are as stated below:
(a) Ask to the employee: "What would I have to do to earn a salary of ___?" or "Here is what I will do for ___". Using the former as the request, the option of not getting a raise is not even mentioned. This question causes the employer to think of ways to grant your request rather than reacting with a defensive "no". By telling your employer what you will do for the raise shows that you have carefully thought this through, and you are not looking for something for nothing. Choose the method that you are most comfortable using.
We are addressing this issue because it is your right to ask for a raise however one need not be demanding and never give an ultimatum and make sure that it is a polite request and project in a mannet that it appears a symbiotic relationship. Analysis of derivative segment data suggests hat more than 4.50 lakh shares have been added in the open interest and same is accompanied by decrease in the cost of carry and it shows that fresh short position are likely to build at higher levels.
